The Brick Lane Gallery is proud to present a dynamic mix of talented photographers from across the world to show in our third PHOTOGRAPHY NOW group exhibition for 2014. Some of these artists are visiting us from around Europe including Spain, Italy and Finland as well as artists from as far away as Venezuela, Brazil and India. These photographers have come together to remind us of the diverse and creative ways we can communicate through a camera, from the digitally manipulated black and white graphics by Markku Saijets from Finland, to a retrospective of the beautiful and traditionally created pieces in ‘Life is not breathing but doing’ by Simone Tetti from Italy. This exhibition boasts a diverse collection of photography each sharing with us a little magic through their eyes. From the creative works of Alexandro Pelaez who Super Heroes and Villains subject matter using multiple exposures to create atmosphere, to vast images by Cicero Marfa who works printed on canvas force us to acknowledge our traces in time.

A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”

Ansel Adams

We therefore would warmly like to invite you to join us at the opening of PHOTOGRAPHY NOW on Wednesday 28th May from 6pm – 8.30pm
