Opening Night Gala

Thursday, September 24, 2009 Performance: 7:00-8:30 PM GALA Celebration: 8:30-10:30PM John Ryan Theater at WHITE WAVE, 25 Jay Street The 2009 DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL will kick off with WHITE WAVE's Opening Night GALA Celebration on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 PM. This thrilling evening celebrates the opening of WHITE WAVE's Fall Season. Witness performances by seven outstanding contemporary dance companies, enjoy a scrumptious buffet dinner of Korean specialties, and then dance the night away at our fabulous party! All GALA attendees receive chances to win gourmet wine baskets, “dinner-for-two” at local DUMBO eateries, and much more in our raffle! Guests also receive complimentary Boutique gifts from BERGDORF GOODMAN, including a $25 gift card and $185 exclusive facial treatment (total est. value $250). The evening will feature stunning contemporary dance by Becca Alaly and Dancers, johannes wieland, Lauri Stalling/gloATL(GA), Lucie Baker, Pascal Rekoert/Flexicurve, Robin Conrad(CA), and WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company. The performances are followed by a black tie optional champagne reception and buffet dinner/dance party, featuring delicious Korean cuisine, along with live music by the ever-popular Bossa Nova Beatniks provided for your dancing pleasure! Tickets are $100 per person. All funds raised will go directly towards offsetting WHITE WAVE's production costs and to the development of our future programming.
