GALA opening night

Opening Remarks by New York State Senator Daniel Squadron Performances by Honored guest performer: Laurie Anderson Becca Alaly + Dancers, johannes wieland, gloATL, Lucie Baker, Robin Conrad, WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company and seven youngsters from WHITE WAVE’s Kids’ Program, dancing in a tribute to Michael Jackson. WHITE WAVE’s annual GALA is a thrilling night of celebration opening our Fall Season. We will be honoring Ambassador Donald P. Gregg for his continuous support of WHITE WAVE’s mission since the early 1990s, and in acknowledgement of his many achievements over his 16-year tenure as Chairman of the Korea Society. Mr. John Ryan, our other honoree, is WHITE WAVE’s primary fiscal benefactor, and provided the principal support for the creation of our company’s John Ryan Theater, described in The New York Times as “gleaming” and “perfectly formed.” Our GALA begins at 7:00 PM with Opening Remarks by Senator Daniel Squadron; world-famous musician and performing artist Laurie Anderson will be our honored guest performer (tbd)! Six stunning companies will be performing, followed by a black tie optional champagne reception and award celebration. Capping our festivities will be a scrumptious buffet dinner and a fabulous dance party with live music provided by the ever-popular Bossa Nova Beatniks.
