Dylan Landis's short fiction has appeared in Bomb, Tin House, Best American Nonrequired Reading and other publications. A former newspaper reporter, she has won many awards for her fiction, including the Poets & Writers California Voices Award in Fiction, the Writers@Work Fellowship, and the Richard Yates Short Story Award. Mary Otis is the author of the story collection Yes, Yes, Cherries and her work has appeared in the Best New American Voices anthology, Los Angeles Times, Alaska Quarterly Review, Cincinnati Review, Berkeley Literary Journal, and Santa Monica Review. Her story "Pilgrim Girl" received a Pushcart Prize honorable mention.

This series of contemporary fiction and poetry readings is organized by Benjamin Weissman, author of two books of short fiction, most recently Headless, and professor of creative writing at Art Center College of Design and Otis College of Art and Design.
