The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, announced today the launch of its inaugural Travel Day on Tuesday, March 22, a day-long travel fair devoted to the most sought-after francophone hot spots. Travel experts from FIAF partners will answer questions, share insiders’ tips, and offer exclusive deals and discounts on housing, transportation, must-see sights, and more. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting, free French language workshops, and a drawing for exciting travel-related prizes, including a trip for two to Paris.
Free and open to the public, this year’s event will take place on-site at FIAF, with over 20 partners representing all facets of the travel experience, from transportation to lodging, fine dining, entertainment, shopping, information, and communication. Many of the world’s leading francophone destinations will be featured, including Monaco, Belgium, Switzerland, Martinique, St. Martin, and of course, la belle France.
In addition to the Grand Prize of a trip for two to Paris, prizes include two Swiss passes to explore Switzerland for eight consecutive days by train, bus, and boat; a twenty-one day car rental of a Renault Twingo in France; four France Rail passes; and a cell phone and sim card for use in France. Each attendee will receive a free ticket to the prize drawing, and additional raffle tickets may be purchased on site.
