The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, is proud to present a new CinémaTuesdays series celebrating the rich history of women’s filmmaking in France. This March, Cinéma des femmes: Perspectives on Women Filmmakers will explore a carefully curated selection of women filmmakers that represents a more eclectic list than the expected canon, and includes a U.S. premiere as well as an in-person appearance by one of France’s most acclaimed young directors, Mia Hansen-Løve, to present her debut feature All Is Forgiven (Tout est pardonné).
The series Cinéma des femmes was co-curated by Marie Losier and Sam Di Iorio, Associate Professor of French at Hunter College.
