Trained at Yale, Anna Shteynshleyger is a Chicago-based photographer whose work covers a wide range of genres including portraiture, landscape and interiors.

Following her emmigration to the United States from Russia at the age of 15, she embraced Orthodox Judaism. Living outside of Washington, D.C. and speaking little English, she was lonely and turned to the camera for solace. Surely, one of the great contributions to creative culture to come out of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Her work is notable for its beauty and formal precision.
