[more]Adam Peck was born November 19, 1937 in Los Angeles, California. With his sister, brother, mother and her many husbands, he lived variously in and around Los Angeles, Salem, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Las Vegas, Nevada and Wichita, Kansas. Adam spent four years in the US Navy where he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. With his first wife, he spent the next decade in the Islands operating a Scuba Diving business, living aboard his Sailboat, the KUDU, and renovating living spaces for other people. Divorce sent Adam packing for New York City in 1970. A Time like no other.
Adam attended University of Hawaii, University of California at Los Angeles and at Santa Barbara, American University, Paris, and the New York School of Design. He worked in New York with the late, great Mark Hampton on the palaces of the rich and famous. Then came a decade long stint as the original Furniture Design Contributing Editor for Country Living Magazine. He is the head of Adam Peck Design. His furniture and artwork are in collections in the U.S. England, France, and elsewhere.
Adam lives with his wife, Photographer, Marian Peck in Provincetown, Ma. and in Paris, France.
