Influenced by Jeff Wall, Peter Handke, Sam Taylor Wood, my interest focuses on cities' borders. I incorporate figures within urban spaces and try to recreate a landscape of the mind. Soliloquy, story, dumb dialogue, all the fragments of daily life are put together. A place of connections clashes with the limits of reality: “this draft of an abandoned city is a rather extraordinary scene”. A whirl of dead things transforms the real place in a fantastic simulacrum, a stage where the unusual is possible. With Transistor I open a window on the past: the protagonist is forced to face a bleak present. Transistor was born from the collaboration with photographer Valerio Gavana. This image was inspired by the memory of an old swimming pool built in 1920 in Parco Trotter (Milan).
