Laurens van der Wee is a sonic designer and composer of electronic music, currently living in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He received his Bachelor of Art and Technology degree in June 2009 and is now in the process of a Master of Music course at the Music Technology department of the Utrecht School of the Arts. After playing piano and cello, among other instruments, Laurens has now found a way to work with music and sound, art and technology at the same time. Work varies from tape composition to audiovisual performance and from live electronics to music for modern dance. This resulted in acceptancies for both the ICMC2009 and the SMC2009 with 'Tilemaster' and for the ICMC2008 with 'No Sine Cure'. [show less]
