Welcome to the Introductory course - March 23, 24, 25
Vienna, Austria


The introductory course in March is opens the door towards the new collaboration project in Russia in autumn 2012 - the six-week period of performance creation in a Russian repertory theatre together with Russian actors and performers from different countries! The full course programme includes the long-distance training, the practical residential sessions, and the secondment in the Russian repertory theatre, where the international performance will take place. 

 

The programme is designed for existing arts managers, working in various creative industries, seeking further professional development and interested in strengthening their practical knowledge and skills. This course will be especially relevant to those candidates who are motivated to develop a managerial career in performing arts at international level - personalities with strong personal mission, passion for the arts and a strong sense of purpose.

The working language is English.

 

There are several scholarships available for participation in the introductory course in March in Vienna.
The scholarship amount is 300 EUR and covers part of the participation fee.
 
To apply for participation, candidates should send the following documents to iugte.projects@gmail.com




  • Letter of motivation stating their interest in joining the course.



  • Detailed CV describing all specific skills and abilities.  



  • Scanned copy of the passport and the academic degree.



  • Latest head shot and 2-3 additional photos. 



  • Any information confirming professional directing experience: web links to past projects and performances, photo, video, reviews, articles, interviews, etc.

International intensive workshop for directors 


with Russian theatre director and teacher

The lab programme is designed for performing arts practitioners with professional stage experience working in various genres, techniques and styles.


 


PROGRAMME: Intensive practical training, lectures and discussions. Participants will have opportunity to become acquainted with the method of director's preparation in the period from reading of the play till meeting with the group of actors. 


 


Participants will have opportunity to acquire reliable director's toolkit for creating contemporary professional productions and improve skills. The Lab is a wonderful chance to find collaborators and partners for future creative work and gain new experience of creative collaboration in multicultural multilingual theatre environment.


 


The workshop working language is English.
