Mika Rottenberg is a sculptor and video arts who builds large, complex sets inhabited by women performing illogical, assembly line tasks. In "Dough", for example, a woman in a tiny room smells flowers to induce hay fever. Her tears run down her legs and through a tiny hole in the floor, where other women in uniforms use it to make dough. Rottenberg casts women with unusual physiques or talents, like contortionists and fantasy wrestlers.
