Steven Harris has been a visual artist working in photography for over 25 years. At 16, he began shooting in Bloomington, Indiana in the late 70's and later studied at Indiana University in fine art photography. He was accepted to the Ansel Adams workshop — an intensive, hands-on environment that greatly influenced his photography. This was a pivotal point in his experience as a photographer. Steven Harris lived in Amsterdam for three years to pursue his personal photography & traveled through out Europe. As a professional photographer currently working in New York City he continues shooting photographs as a visual artist and collaborating on many projects, including performances in the Guggenheim Museum and has published images for many art books and magazines. Photography was never thought about in terms of a life direction but persued intuitively, a decision that was never regretted by Steven Harris. [show less]
