Description: The gallery is constructed from local cardboard and other reclaimed materials. It measures 10x12 feet. The structure is inspired by the historical context of the warehouse district of Dumbo, and in particular, the legacy of Robert Gair, who was the leading manufacturer or corrugated cardboard in the area. The final structure will be clad to resemble shelters constructed for survival as a commentary on the current recession. It will take up rent-free occupancy in front of DAC during the Dumbo Art Festival.
