Padraic Colum, a poet and playwright in the Irish theater, was part of the Irish Literary Renaissance with W. B. Yeats, Lady Gregory, George Russell, and James Stephens. He later moved to the United States and published over fifty books of poetry, fiction, drama, nonfiction, children's literature, and folklore. Willy Pogány illustrated books, painted murals and portraits, designed stage settings and costumes, and worked as an art director for several film studios.
