Description: "THE CLOSED MOUTH CATCHES NO FLYS" is an example of a series of preliminary free-hand airbrush/acrylic studies I call GROTESQUE INCIDENTS.
They are begun as warmup exercises I work on prior to continuing on a major painting. On occasion, such as in this instance, they become complete efforts in themselves.
