Description: 21" x 6" x 9" (depth from wall)
Wood, styrofoam, birch bark, acrylic paint.
n a further attempt at creating dialogue between form and surface description, “When the World was Flat” began as a geometric composition emerging from the wall into the space of the viewer. Combined with organically shaped Styrofoam, Birch bark is used to compliment the definitive, wall-piece-viewer angular relationship. Although first appearing on the verge of dissolution, inevitably each component can be seen describing another and a state of holistic awareness between both viewer and object is achieved.
