Of meta-human proportion, although not necessarily big -- the mythic can be very small. But the mythic always exceeds the human quotidian without becoming a generality. That is, the mythic is not iconographic; on the contrary, it retains an individuality. And hence, the mythic remains attached to the material world while simultaneously exceeding the material world.

Themes represent basic categories of thought, emotion, or value. While our assignment of themes may at times seem arbitrary or whimsical, they serve to link together artists and movements along non- hierarchial pathways. Follow the themes to look for new disciplines that share qualities with those you already like, or to open up new worlds of Art and Culture.
