These are some of the best books I read in 2009, some old, some new but they were all great reads. Starting with Kathryn Stockett's debut novel The Help, the hilarious account of Beppe Severgnini's Ciao America and ending in Naipaul's brilliant fictional frame in A Bend in the River. I highly recommend all these books, they kept my mind alive and swept me to another world in the midst of the chaos of last year.
