Since 2003, photographer and Alaskan commercial fisherman Corey Arnold has been documenting the crab fishery in the Bering Sea.
Arnold's bio explains that "he is currently working on a life long project entitled "Fish-Work" which chronicles the commercial fishing lifestyle throughout the world." The Exhibition / Awards section of his site indicates that photographs from the Fish-Work series are on display at the Dunderdon Retail Store in SoHo for a couple of months (note: no set end date is indicated).
Most recently, Arnold was nominated for the Aperture West Book Prize, the Santa Fe Prize for Photography, and named one of PDN's 30 for 2009. In 2005, he received an American Scandinavian Foundation grant to photograph the fishermen and whalers of Northern Norway.
