Russian coloratura
soprano Vera Trifanova won the 12th International vocal contest “Città di
Alcamo”, which took place on 29 September - 4 October, 2009 in in Alcamo, Italy. She was one of the 77 participants from several
countries. The contest was judged by an international jury headed by the
outstanding soprano singer Raina Kabaivanska.
