One of the most anticipated events in the emerging contemporary art scene is back in Venice: from March 23rd to April 6th, with free entrance every day from 10am to 6pm, the Arsenale hosts the works by the 110 finalists of the 8th Arte Laguna Prize.
During the opening night of Saturday, March 22nd, the 5 overall winners - one for each category in the competition: painting, sculpture and installation, video and performance, photographic art, digital and virtual art - will be awarded a cash prize of 7,000 Euros each and the winners of the special prizes will also be revealed.
The finalist works from the virtual and digital art section will be exhibited at Telecom Italia Future Centre, close to the Rialto Bridge and a special selection of under-25 artists will be on view at the Romanian Institute of Venice.
