Lisa Nankivil is a contemporary American painter and printmaker best known for her dynamic striped-fomat abstractions that blend brilliant color, intricate surface texture, and spatial illusion.

Nankivil trained at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design

She graduates in Scenography in 2004, at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan with a dissertation on photographer Jeff Wall. In the same year she gets a grant to attend courses at the Italian Institute
