Akram Khan is a contemporary dance choreographer generating work based in both Kathak and modern dance.  He is the artistic director of the Akram Khan Company.

At a young age Akram began learning Bengali folk dancing from his morther and studied Kathak under Sri Pratap Pawar. As a chi
