Fred McDowell (January 12, 1904 – July 3, 1972) known by his stage name; Mississippi Fred McDowell, was a blues singer and guitar player in the North Mississippi style.

My connection with Art+Culture was introduced to me by my parents when they inspired me to start piano lessons whn I was much younger.

Nowadays I am a choir singer in EL Pio popvocals (http://www.elpio.nl) and I organise the biennial Cumel festival (www.cumelfestival.nl).
